My recent French Paper Co. shipment arrived today and I took it all to Able Printing to get the sheets cut to 7″ x 4.875″ (folded 4bar/A1 cards). Had another 50 sheets cut to 6.25″ x 7.25″ for small letterpress prints of a Maugham quote (see earlier design) to be framed and hung.
Left a bunch of cards at Able, they mentioned something about referring some business my way, which would be great, especially if it’s something like invitations or announcements :)
Planning on making my own press chop in metalsmithing. Shouldn’t be too difficult. It would be nice for broadsides and other ephemera, but not for stationery since that already has my logo in matching ink on the back.
I also want to repaint the door to my studio, but I’m not sure what I should do with it.
Will soak paper on Monday so that when plates arrive on Tuesday, I can start printing immediately. Should have thank yous and love/relationship cards available for sale this upcoming Thursday or Friday. Hurray for my central location between NA graphics and French Paper Co and Boxcar Press’ amazing 2day shipping deal.
